My name is Michael Palmieri Sr. If the last name sounds familiar, it's because back in May 1981 I started a company called Mike's Move-Rite Movers, specializing in small moves, 6 rooms or less. I decided to change the name to Palmieri Van Lines, yet that did not last long due to the van lines making it seem like a bigger company than it was. And finally, the last change: it became Palmieri Movers, which still is in operation. I sold my company to my nephew Robert Quinn in January of 2024. My brother Victor Palmieri and my niece Bernadette Mosquera are also still a part of it, as recently it celebrated 45 years in business as of May 18th, 2026. Although it is not easy to start up any company, I had what it took to take on the challenge. I was always a leader growing up and not much of a follower. When I was younger, my sister Mary Ann got married to a wonderful man, Bob Quinn, who owned a moving company. That opened the skies for me, and still to this day, all these years later, I have decided to start again after a brief retirement. It’s a consultation company built on the total reason of saving all my customers from the extremely high cost of moving. Yet with my knowledge and years of experience and my desire to ensure that you save and not overspend your hard-earned money, so this is the direction I have gone in with Prepped To Move. All of us need a purpose in life and mine since the age of 18 has been just that.

With my new company called Prepped To Move, I will go over all the do's and don'ts of hiring a mover and total preparation for the most cost-effective move, saving you hundreds and hundreds of dollars. It begins as a consultation service, which charges a small fee attached to my years of experience. Along with that, I also provide a pre-move service the day before that is done at a low hourly rate to prep you in a way that the movers will actually be smiling rather than uttering the words "what a nightmare." Also, we provide a service of post-move prep, which is also charged with a low hourly rate with no minimum. It consists of the day after you move in; we come in and organize your location so it is liveable. Remember movers are not there to organize and decorate all your rooms. I will actually help you also in the design of each room, in where and how each room should be set up. Yet, I leave that up to the customer with some ideas if needed. Set up the beds, put mirrors on dressers, and organize any or all the boxes so you can take your time unloading them and still be able to live in your new environment and get settled at your own pace.
